Ray Flynn has worked passionatley in the local community for the last 13 years. As manager of the Rosslare Community Development association He organized the introduction of one of the first Social economy projects in Wexford.


Responsible for creating over 12 jobs in community maintenance program he also played a large roll in securing the 1.4million euro state of the art childcare Centre that now employs over 14 people. Other achievements under his management included Wexford's first Artificial Bowling Green, The Floodlighting of The Tennis Courts, The construction of the First Synthetic Rubber athletics Track and The magnificent 60 x 30 meter all-Weather floodlit Soccer pitch.

His roll in the tidy towns competition has seen Rosslare win many accolades and environment awards. The village constantly rates in the top 4 in Wexford and in the top 100 in the country. Ray has been at the forefront of promoting the village assisting with the the introduction of new festivals such as the Rosslare Jazz festival, The Links Festival, The Rosslare Field Day maintain and of course the annual Christmas Day Swim.

Facilitating others and helping the promotion of ideas is one of Ray's strong points. Working with clubs like the Wexford Tri club has seen the introduction of the annual 10k road race on Easter Monday which is seen as one of the most professional events in the country and of course this has been added to by the very impressive Olympic distance triathlon which forms one of the major events in the Links Festival.


Ray has served as Chairman of County Wexford Tourism He has been an elected Board member of Scoil Mhuire national School and a member of the pastoral council of St Brigid's.
