Solar

The most common application of solar thermal energy is domestic water heating. At Clyde Electrical  Plumbing we also offer systems for farms as well as systems that contribute to your space heating. Solar panels, generally located on a roof, work by transforming solar radiation into heat. The heat produced from the panels is then stored in a hot water cylinder, which allows it to be used at any time. Our aim is to provide quality solar products and servicing to our customers. It has been proven that a solar panel system that is correctly sized and installed will provide excellent returns over the coming years with minimal maintenance. Our solar panel systems can be used for domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural applications.

Advantages of Solar Panels

Low Cost – One of the cheapest and most established of all the renewable energy technologies. Designed to work alongside the majority of heating systems. Provides roughly half of your hot water requirements across the year and during the summer months they can contribute towards nearly all of your hot water needs. During the winter months you may need to top up the system with your primary heat source e.g. a boiler.

Clean Energy – Solar thermal heating helps homeowners and the national electric grid reduce dependence on fossil fuels. They also reduce your individual carbon footprint.

Reduced Energy Bills – Using solar energy to provide heat means you rely less on other energy sources such as oil, gas and/or electricity, which means reduced monthly utility bills for the home.

Renewable – Solar energy is a renewable resource. This means that there is no danger of depleting its reserves.

Easy Installation – Solar thermal systems can generally be installed quite easily and quickly.

Good for the Pool – pool heating is another excellent application for solar thermal energy.
